Hearing Tests

Diagnostic Testing

Oto-acoustic Emissions
- hair cell funtion within the inner ear is evaluated by measuring emissions from the cochlea in response to stimulation
Auditory Brainstem Testing
- determines if a hearing disorder is being caused by a problem with the hearing nerve. Measures the electrical responses of the hearing nerve in response to stimulation
Fistula Test
- used to determine the prescence of a labyrinthine fistula,  an abnormal opening in the inner ear which can lead to hearing loss and balance/dizziness disorders
